The easiest way to straighten your hair without spending any money is by brushing and blow drying. After washing when your hair dries it will start to curl. If you hold your hair straight with a comb and use a hair dryer then your hair will retain the straight shape when dry. This is a great method to use as it can be done at home with no additional cost.

If you want to do your hair straightening yourself then another method is using a flat iron. You can purchase a flat iron from many stores and they can be relatively inexpensive. This method uses heat which is more intense than a hair dryer and will work well with any type of hair.

If you want a solution that lasts for more than a day then there are some more permanent solutions. Hair relaxing is one of these more permanent methods. However there are some problems with this method. The chemicals used will make your hair brittle and dry. Another thing is that your curls will grow through meaning that you will need to relax your hair again.

Currently the most effective permanent method of how to straighten your hair is Japanese hair straightening. This is the best permanent option but also the most costly. When this technique is applied correctly your hair will stay straight for up to half a year.
